Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Colombia Q4 2023

The fourth quarter of 2023 saw notable activity in the Navigation and Maps app category on a unified platform in Colombia. Sensor Tower data provides insights into the performance of the top 5 apps: Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, Google Maps, Google Earth, GPS Earth Maps Live Navigation, and GPS Maps, Navigation & Traffic.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced consistent download numbers throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 43.6K in late September and ending with a peak of 58K in the final week of December. Weekly active users showed a similar upward trend, beginning at around 801K and reaching 832K by the end of the quarter.

Google Maps maintained steady download rates, starting at about 26.4K and fluctuating slightly to end at 26.9K. Its weekly active users remained robust, starting at approximately 1.27M and peaking mid-quarter at around 1.38M before closing the quarter at 1.29M.

Google Earth saw moderate download activity, ranging from 8.8K at the beginning of the quarter to a low of 6.6K at the end. Weekly active users demonstrated a slight decline, starting at 82K and ending at 73.9K.

GPS Earth Maps Live Navigation had a varied download pattern, beginning at 3.3K and peaking at 6.6K in late October before settling at 3.3K in the last week of December. Active users showed a healthy increase from 11.6K to 16.4K over the quarter.

GPS Maps, Navigation & Traffic saw a gradual increase in downloads from 1K at the start to 1.5K by mid-December, with a slight dip to 1.6K at the end. Weekly active users increased from 2.2K to 3.2K throughout the quarter.
